   About Us

Keeping It Real (KIR) Foundation was founded in 2010 as a Non Profit Organization, (RC 916541). KIR Foundation has initiated and currently maintains innovative programs on literacy, leadership and personal social responsibility for young people ages 2 to 25, especially orphans, vulnerable children and children from families with limited resources.

Our vision is to build leaders for life.

Our mission is to instill in youths, the spirit of learning, growth and change through valuable education in literacy, leadership and personal social responsibility. One of the programs we have employed to achieve our mission is our Book Drive. So far, we have given out about 1000 books through our Book Drive.

The Nigeria Network of NGOs (NNNGO) is the first generic membership body for civil society organizations in Nigeria that facilitates effective advocacy on issues of poverty and other developmental issues. Established in 1992, NNNGO represents over 800 organizations ranging from small groups working at the local level, to larger networks working at the national level. In total NNNGO’s outreach to the third sector in Nigeria is estimated to be in the excess of 2,500 which includes both members and affiliates at national and global levels. NNNGO champions a sector that is accountable, independent and truly representative of giving a voice to the common man.

Toru Ofili Foundation (TOF)
was founded in 2010. The Foundation is a non-profit organization, registered in Nigeria under sections 33 and 34 of the Company and Allied Matters Act No 1 1990. TOF is focused on the following areas: support for young widows and pregnant teenagers, a half way home for women , value orientation seminars, educational skills acquisition and training in maternal and child healthcare, gender rights and advocacy for abused and battered women.

Children And The Environment (CATE) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (Reg. No: 466755) established in 1999 to reduce environmental threats to children and young people’s health. It achieves this by building their awareness of the environment in which they live, through the creative arts, whilst supporting eco-tourism. This will result in a change in attitude and behaviour and create an eco-tourism and conservation-culture in children and young people and through them, reach out to the larger public. CATE runs the CATE Creativity Green Club (CCGC), a membership club for children of ages 7 to 15 years which aims at promoting sustainable educational development with children and young people through environmental literature, art, craft, music, dance and drama.

Street Child Care and Welfare Initiative (SCCWI) is a Non-Governmental Organization (RC: 26903) incorporated in February 2008 in order to support street children in Lagos. The aim of SCCWI is to welcome 25 street children ages 8 to 13 years from Kuramo Beach and other areas at the Centre for Rehabilitation in Yaba, to provide them with accommodation, food, medical care, clothing, quality education, recreational activities and counseling. The goal of the organization is to protect and improve the rights and lives of street children in Lagos.
